Fuzz Alert Part Two

Yesterday I drove from Guadalajara to Lake Chapala. As I drove into Ixtlahuacán de los Membrillos, there was a section of roadway cordoned off and a large number of police (motorcycles, patrullas, etc) stopping traffic. Many of the police officers held radar guns; it seemed apparent that they were stopping speeders. I was speeding (as usual), but they had stopped several cars ahead of me and I scooted past by the skin of my teeth.

The speed limit on the highway in Ixtlahuacán drops to 40 kilometers/hour just at the north edge of town. Be aware, as everyone's habit (mine included) is to whiz through town at highway speed--80 or better.

The section where this occurred is just north of the booths selling ate de membrillo, honey, and regional candies.
