Having seen the title of the file of the same picture when you tried it on the test forum, I'll refrain from making an educated guess. (and before the rest of you look, I've just deleted it... so you can't cheat).

But Tony, the question was "What" not "Where", the title of the file was to throw them off. Esteban, has the correct answer in English.

Oops! The picture is gone here too now Tony?

I spent awhile staring at it last night, really interesting Arbon. I could see ladders going up into the space at intervals, the hanging stuff looked like some kind of skin to me. I would also guess it's a bull ring or charro ring but a lot more home made than most.

Course, it could also be the back side of a big blanket stand that faces the road although the blankets are sure plain. Maybe a roadside pig skin booth? Nah, they eat the pig skin here, they don't tan it much. Ah! a roadside chicharrone stand with the main product drying behind it???

They are NOT coco fibre mats but I'm still scratching my brain, trying to remember what they are made from.

Oh yes, "La Petatera"....... to protect the sensibilities of any one from P.E.T.A. who just happen to be driving by.

I think they are woven from a type of grass.

This particular one is in Coquimatlán, which is about 10 Kms SW of Cd Colima, on col 14.
