Hello, Does anyone know how much time it takes to get to Leon Airport from Queretaro by car? Are there many tolls? and is it safe to drive at night?

It is not safe to drive at night. We have done it with a very good driver but the roads have livestock, drunks and bandits on the roads. Holiday Inn Express and Victoria Hotel in Silao are near the airport.

How safe is it to drive from San Miguel to Queretaro at night - same thing?

I've driven both routes at night, and I wouldn't hesitate to do so again. From Queretaro to BJX is a divided highway. The road from San Miguel de Allende to Queretaro is a fine two-lane blacktop to Highway 57, which is a divided highway down to Queretaro.

If you're worried about boogeymen, they're out just as much in broad daylight as under the cover of the moon.

There are two tolls on the road from Queretaro to BJX........one is $45Mn...the other is now $48Mn........I have driven it at night without problems since it is a quota most of the way but would not advise driving at night unless you really know the road. I drive from Queretaro to Tequisquiapan at night without problems....but I am very careful.
Just take the Celaya cuota past Liverpool to BJX...
