bathroom sinks

We are redoing the bathroom and kitchen in our small condo in Guayabitos. I want to do it in Mexican style but not on such an expensive scale as to outprice the condo. I know I could go to Tlaquepaque and Tonala but I was wondering if I could just go to PuertoVallarta and get a sink and tiles. Do you know of a good place to start? I likely won't do the one inch tiles but maybe the 4 inch. BG

The sinks you find around Tonala are around 500 pesos. Less for the small one, more for the larger ones. SO you can decide if it is worth a trip or not. Some people from Dolores Hidalgo will ship. The same type in Paris are $450.!! I am taking one for my sister next time I go.

I'd be real surprised if you couldn't pick up Talavera sink in PV. If not, there are tons of places selling self rimming bathroom sinks in all shapes and colors. Definitely use the 4 inch tiles.

Are they all Televera sinks-the ones with floral and fish designs-as I saw them in the market in Guayabitos but they weren't the designs I wanted. Come to think of it -it was from the guy selling Televera bowls. They really weren't that expensive either. Don't you think they ship any of those to PV? BG

I haven't actually seen them for sale in PV but that's because I'm not looking. I would guess you can get anything you want in PV. Just have 2 ask around. There's lots of remodelling and building going on so I wager heavy on the idea that they are available.
