I spent christmas day here, no snow anywhere in sight. I am on crocodile watch while the kids play. Alex

Alex, is that North or South of Zihua' and is that a river in the photo (washing hanging up to dry)?

Near Petatlán?

The tide is in, the water is shallow, an inlet.

I say San Blas.... dark sand, mountains in the distance to the north, and the island (nude beach) just a little offshore. If mosquitoes were involved, this is DEFINITELY San Blas!

Hello,

Although there is a famous Cocodrillo farm at La Manzanilla (careful kip-- La Manzanilla with an a is a beach to the north of Melaque while Manzanillo with the o is a famous and much larger other location), the beach doesn't look to me like La Manzanilla.

We need to keep guessing. Adios. jerezano.

Adios. jerezano.

It is indeed south of Zihuatanejo and north of Petatlan : La Barra de Potosi. Off in the distance in the center of the photo you can just barely see the ocean waves breaking into the lagoon. The open ocean is too "angry" with rip tides and such for the kids to play safely, but the shallow lagoon with sand bars is perfect, as long as you ignore the crocodiles. The crocs do indeed hang out here (though I never saw one personally), apart from the lagoon being salty, and they even manage to wander into the open ocean. Maybe its just the locals funnin' with me. Mmmm, surfer jerky...

Oh, Wendy, you had ventured a guess for part 1 and pulled it back, what happened?

The hill in the background of part 1 stumped me...although the road signs suggested somewhere in Nayarit.

I knew my guess would be wrong...so withdrew it.
