Economic Report

Did everyone read that Mexico's inflation hit a 35 year low in '05. Also, Multivalories had an economist her a while ago and he told us that the Mexican national debt is 2% of GNP and we all know how much doesn't even get counted into the GNP. So, maybe the sky isn't falling after all?

I saw the official figures but I have never understood them. Everybody knows that prices are rising MUCH faster than the official rate. What good is the official rate, other than for political reasons. It allows governments to keep things like the min. wage low but does anyone really believe they are correct?

Who knows about the accuracy of anyone's numbers. Also, remember the inflation rate is a national average. Resort areas always exceed the national average even at home, wherever that is.
