Thank you Don, and Dolores57, it has been driving me nuts not knowing the true name for it. I guess it is rare; it is the only one I have ever seen also. I donít usually get too exited about flowers, but this one is kind of breathtaking it is so delicate and beautiful.
Now I can put the true name of it on the caption in my Smugmug galleries. I need to ask my wife if she or her mother had our gardener plant it, or if it was here when we moved into this house. If one of them bought it, I want to know where they got it in case something ever happens to it, although it looks like a pretty sturdy shrub.
The flower in the picture bloomed on November 11, 2005. I donít know if they bloom at other times of the year. Iím keeping a closer watch on it now.
