Thank you taking the time to share your pictures. I know you are in for a great adventure. I hope you can make weekly updates. I did that on my projects, and the photo work turned out to be almost as much fun as the project itself.

oooohhh nice lot Kevin and looks like a great location ! Look forward to watching your progress and hope to see lots of photos on your blog.

We're currently building a place in a remote part of Baja California Sur (on the Pacific side of the Baja peninsula). Challenging to accomplish long-distance from up in California where we are working. My husband and I have gained knowledge about a slew of things during this process- solar power,water storage and pumping, septic, Mexican Environmental Impact studies and federal zone concessions for example. It will be interesting to read about the difference in your experience building on the beach in Playa Mojón.

We'd love to visit and surf your area someday and have bookmarked your hotel website for future reference.

Yes they are little darlings ... a handful though.

I am so looking forward to moving in, but in Mexico (and the rest of the world when building) there are many hurdles to jump yet ... and many surprises I am sure.

Hi Claudine,

Yes, we have some good neighbours who some are starting to build. There are also others in the hills around the beach that are to build also.

There is to be a small condo development which will bring in some faces.

It will be a slow build up, but we like the quiet.

That is really a gorgeous site! I love your outdoor shower. I just went back and looked at all the stages and I'm wondering how the well coming up in the swimming pool works? Will you use the pool like a storage tank?

Hi Kevin,

Great pics - the layout looks like it will be fabulous! Shortly after our real estate deal is finalized we will be starting to build our home on the beach in Rosario, Sinaloa. Watching the progress of your home is an excellent learning experience for us and very exciting.

I am so sorry to hear of your troubles. We just came back from Mazatlan, Mexico. We met an architect there who was doing extraordinary work! My husband and I run our own construction company from Toronto Canada so we are fully versed when it comes to quality. This architect was completing the last home in a gated community (he did all of these homes) and my husband was so impressed with his work (especially if you like flat walls rather than texture) that we got his number and will be contacting him again when we return in a couple of months. He has done many projects throughout Mexico. We actually met him through an American at our hotel who was having his house completed by him, and he was raving about the quality and timeliness.
