What Happened to Mexico City?

Is there a niche, somewhere in these fora, that deals with Mexico City? Have I overlooked it?
After all, it's a pretty important place in this nation.

By the way, we have been here in México, DF, just over a week, and enjoying our stay immensely. And that's without visiting a single museum or palace or pre-Hispanic ruin. Nor any churches, for that matter (although I did look into an Eastern Orthodox Church here in Colonia Roma Sur, across from the Hospital Dalinde.
I have a smattering of non-food photos here: http://www.pbase.com/panos/colonia_roma_sur
The food photos are scattered about this gallery and sub-galleries: http://www.pbase.com/..._mexico&page=all

Hope you're just keeping busy and not avoiding those places on purpose. They have some world class museums, ruins, and churches there. Great restaurants too.

We're going up next week.

Great restaurants too.

Yes, and some little-known restaurants with good food.
I don't avoid the churches, museums and archaeological sites. I just don't think about them.
We visited many of those places on earlier visits. I just would rather walk through the colonias with their fine homes, apartments, stores and restaurants. You also can see some interesting stuff, like this vendor of 'Empanadas Rusas'.

or a guy selling tamales from a bicycle, or the scissors grinder on a bicycle, and so on. It's endlessly fascinating.

Now is NOT a good time to avoid Mexican museums! Please consider seeing the splendid España Medieval exhibit at the Anthro Museum and Chapultepec Castle. The Goya show at the National Gallery is really great as well. JEM

Thanks, Julian. I knew about that Medieval Spain Exhibit, but didn't get to it as we have been having such a wonderful time, doing what we like to do.
And we HAVE seen Medieval Spain, as you can see here:
http://www.pbase.com/panos/toledo and here http://www.pbase.com/...ntiago_de_compostela

Everyone has to walk their trip in their own huaraches.
