What is Going On Here?

  | Private Reply
I just spent about 20 minutes responding to Gringal's response to my post and the response was not confrontational but meant to be thought provoking. In no way was my response vulgar or uncivilised. When I tried to post my remarks I found that the forum had been locked. Some moderator here seems to have a political agenda. Trends among human and capital flows between artificial geographical boundaries are appropriate to this forum and not to be frivoluosly deleted by a moderator with a personal agenda.

I actually like the moderators hereabouts. I hope this is not a new trend. I have been far more offensive in the past and don't consider any of them to be my enemies but my fingers deserve respect .

Knock it off or count me out.

Is it so bad if this topic is covered?IT does concern expats. Consider such case: An expat married to a Mexican is severely affected by this topic whether the expat cares about the family they tend to inherit when marrying a Mexican or even if not. There is still a direct interest. All too well do I know.

Stay on topic, and stay away from politics, and your posts will remain open. Posts which include statements such as "The United States is being run by retards" beg locking or deletion. Your most recent thread certainly was a political statement.

Now if anyone starts a thread about Planck's Constant or Article 2bis of the Berne Convention, they're just as likely to find their thread locking or vaporized.

This moderator has no political agenda, and it's my intention that these fora likewise have no political agenda.

You are being unfair, Jennifer. The "retard" remark was another thread. That doesn't really matter, However:

My screed that Ms. Rose so rudely deleted had to do with my personal strong feelings about the hypocrisy (as I see it) regarding migratory trends between various nations but I was not so much offended by her deletion of my brilliant exposition as the fact that, upon having inserted my remarks I found them uninsertible because of her arbitary decision that they were (1) inconsequential or (2) displaced by time values inadvertently passing each other. I have decided that the reason my remarks were deleted had to do with (2) which makes their deletion non-personal and therefore I may continue to retain Ms. Rose as a person of consequence although, by now, she is probably regretting having ever become acquainted wih me even indirectly.

Anyway. Enough blather in the pursuit of nothing .

Planck's Constant? I am intellectually destroyed but as a "D" student of South Alabama public schools of the 1940s, I am hardly a trophy worth stuffing. Actually, I'm already stuffed.

Sir, I deleted nothing. In your first post of this very thread, you remarked that you had composed a reply but were unable to post it, because that thread had been locked. It would be impossible to delete something which had never been posted.

Now Bubba. Be nice. Jennifer is just trying to keep things from getting out of control Smile And you know how your subtle wit can be taken by those on the far left, or was that the far right?

Oops. And I am in no way suggesting that the moderator is on the far right

Max Planck's is my favorite. After all, he saved us, mathematically speaking, from the Ultraviolet Catastrophe.
