Nurseries in the Yucatan?

Can't Post | Private Reply
Hello from Carey on Cozumel here.

Our garden was partially trashed by Emily and Wilma totally finished the job. We are looking to plant again with more flood tolerate species which we have been researching. However, does anyone know of any good nurseries in the area. We are, for example, looking for water lilies just to give you an example. The nurseries on the island don't have much variety. Thanks for any response.

Have you gone to Playa? Viveros Bonzai has recently moved and is bigger than before. They have an excellent selection of quality plants. They used to be at the NW corner of 307 and Juarez and are now south of town abit on the west side of the frontage road before the returno. We go there from Tankah for our plants and have been very pleased with them.

Hi, Carey!

I have seen various varieties of water lilies at the nursery at Walmart #1 in Cancun. Hope this helps.

Hi, dont know if you have found plants already, but there is whole town, called Cristobal Colon, just otside of Cancun, about an hours drive on the old road to Merida ( not the toll road ) its a mayan village where lierally EVERYONE sells plants!!! The small nurseries line the road, and they have great selection and super prices, about half of Cancun prices, I go there all the time as I have a great garden........good luck.
