Well, thanks Bubba. Reality can be harsh and my reality may never touch someone else - like my friends who went to the states for three months while their house was being remodeled and are very satisfied with it. If my experience helps someone else, then I'm happy with that.

What does anyone know about Lagos de Moreno?
160,000 inhabitants. Colonial City, 6400ft elevation.
What are the prospects for this town?

Cattle town, and agriculture based economy. Nice centro and good year around weather. River runs thru town and sometimes you may smell it. This happens less and less as time goes on. Very few gringos live in town, and locals seem to be very friendly. There is a large flux of cash from stateside that helps the local economy from out of country workers. Overall a quiet country town. Bear
