I will be meeting a group in December arriving on a Princess cruise that stops for a day in PV. I need info on a hotel and/or restaurant close to where the Princess Line docks that would give them a good taste of Mexico, and not completely break the bank, where a group of ten or twelve would be comfortable over a long lunch from about noon through 4 p.m. Failing that what recommendations are there that would take them away from the docking area and keep the group busy over a period of time beginning around 9 or 10 a.m. including lunch. Any and all suggestions welcome.

The docking area is about as Mexican as Omaha (or has Omaha become more than 50% hispanic?). Get a few taxis and go to Cafe de Olla on Calle Badillo in Old Town. Get the Mexican platter and drink 2-3 margaritas and you will all be zonked and happy for the rest of the cruise.
