Dentistry in Mazatlan

Hi all,
My first post on this site. I need major dental work, multiple implants, and I am considering spending a couple of months this winter in Mazatlan. [I am semi-retired]. Has anyone had dental work done at this clinic? their web page looks pretty impressive. I would appreciate any reports from patients.
thanks,

John Cunningham

What clinic? I don't think you named it. I cannot advise you, but I do know there are many good dentists here and someone here will help you. Before I moved here, I was trying to get all the medical and dental work done, exams and all that, while I was covered with insurance. There was one procedure which I needed where my dentist said "wait until you get to Mexico! You will be able to get this done for less than your co-payment." I took his advice. There is a place in my neighborhood (Olas Altas No 1) that apparently does a package deal, air, hotel and dental all in one. I have never heard any comments good or bad, but I'll bet you could do the same thing yourself with a little help from the members here. And, go to some of the other Mazatlan websites for dentist recommendations. (Maztravel and Mazinfo particularly). Dee

Getting an implant is pretty serious, so make sure you have someone that is highly qualified and get 2 opinions. Not everyone (diabetics) can/should get implants.

There are many good dentists in Mazatlan. Since you are going to be here for a while, why not talk to a few of them. I had major dental work done a few years ago. Both the price and doctor's experience varied quite a bit when I shopped around. That was in the US, but I have no doubt the same is true here.

Here is a good place to start for references:

Good luck!
