Floods in Gulf of Mexico

¡Hola, amigos costeños! Since I have been in Spokane, WA for the past 5 weeks I haven't seen much, if any, information about the flooding on the eastern coast of México. Ed and Fran...¿How are things in your part of the country? Was there flooding on the Costa Esmeralda like in 1999? I always forget to ask my wife the details since she only told me it had flooded north of Xalapa and was also raining a lot still. Looking forward to more detailed information. ¡Gracias y hasta pronto!

Ed and Fran...¿How are things in your part of the country? Was there flooding on the Costa Esmeralda like in 1999?

Nothing out of the ordinary here. The river here (and the Cazones in Poza Rica) was up a bit last week with all the rain in the sierra, but no flooding that I've heard about or seen in the local paper. We've had a bit of rain each day for almost a week, but nothing heavy since Tropical Storm José passed through two weeks ago.
