We found a small scorpion in the kitchen today. It was alive and well. There is something about those things that gives me the creeps.
Also, we found a land crab (they look just like a little Dungenous Crab) next to our front door, ready to make the escape from the weather by going under our door. Last year, one of them made it to our bedroom and was crawling up the cement and window area behind the curtains. In the middle of the night, I heard a scratching sound and from that time on, I couldn't sleep. I had to get up and track it down.
The street in front of our place had about 10, 6 inch long frogs, all smashed up by cars. Plus a few smashed crabs. Whenever the rains come, these critters seem to want to either play in the street or look for a dry room.
