Odd things

Is it my computer alone, or do other people get those little black triangles with question marks in them where letters should be in the forum postings? Sometimes they are there, sometimes not, in the same place. They come, they go. Jennifer Rose tells me she never sees them, indicating it may be my computer alone. Eh?

I have seen odd type characters in your posts a few times and wondered why they were there.

If they werenīt the black triangles, then I think I know what they are. It seems the forum is designed to be used with an English-character keyboard. I usually have mine set to Spanish. I notice that when I forget to switch to English, it does odd things with apostrophes. Do you see the black triangles Iīm referring to? They donīt just show up in my postings. Others have it too, at least on my screen. And they come and go in the same posting. You see it one moment, and if you go off and read something else and return to the original posting, itīs gone!

Most likely you are using a laptop with hidden key functions because of the limited keyboard. Some keys have dual purpose, and that is why there is a Function key on the board of a laptop, but not on a desktop keyboard. I suggest you try checking out the letter key in question and see if it has another hidden meaning.
