Convert Language from Spanish to English on Cable

Did you know that you can change the settings on your TV and convert that Spanish language program to English on some of the cable channels? That’s right, last night I was able to change the language from Spanish to English on 4 channels, increasing the number of channels I could receive in English to 15 here on the Ajijic-Chapala TeleCable cable system.
On better TV sets you can choose three sound options, “mono”, “stereo” and “SAP”. SAP stands for Second Audio Program. Up north the SAP option often got us French or Spanish instead of English. In Mexico, choosing the SAP option will provide you access to English, should the program you are watching be available in both Spanish and English. By choosing SAP, I was able to increase the number of channels on cable that were available in English by four in Ajijic, the exact number will depend on your cable company.

Interesting.

Which US/Canadian channels can you get there in Ajiji-Chapala on your local cable?

Can I also ask you what you pay per month?

Do you know about other parts of Mexico?

First there is only one fantastic solution especially for you because you can pick up a Star Choice receiver and E75 LNB and dish for less than $200 Canadian. Cable isn't all that good for someone who isn't fluent in Spanish, Here is a list of the channels available around Chapala.

I have digital C band, Mpeg 2, and Cable as well, but about 90% of the time I watch TV or listen to radio programs via my Star Choice receiver

Here it is - please correct any errors yourself:

I copied this list from someone else who spent a long time creating it. Thank you RVGRINGO Oh cable used to cost $192 pesos per month. It just went up to about $215 per month. I'm not sure about the exact amount
