Brunch at Home February 26

It rained all last night and this morning here in Mazatlan. Wow. Feels like the Pacific Northwest. Well, it's a little warmer. I bought a 1/2 kilo of fresh picked crab meat yesterday so this morning, we had a funky mixture of misc items of which I guess you'd call a recipe for crabcakes. On the side we had some chunks of cantalope sprinkled with some special pepper and salt mixture.

1/2 kilo of crabmeat
about 1/2 cup of chopped onions
4 slices of toasted wheat bread crumbled up
about 1/2 cup of finely chopped celery
2 small green chiles....not Jalepenos...similar but skinnier
two eggs
salt
pepper

I made 6 fairly large pattys out of the whole mixture and sauteed in olive oil
I served each crabcake with a dollup of sour cream on top.
Some of you may think the crabmeat might have been overpowered by all the ingredients but not so. It was Deeelish!

Serranos?

Wheat bread toasted until it was crunchy? Or still semisoft inside?

Yes sir, I believe they were serranos but the next time I'm at the store I'll check and the toast WAS crunchy.
