Hello...I'm a "newbie" and have just posted an inquiry in the Yucatan Forum.
Please share with me your experiences in obtaining building permits for a beach front house in an area just north of playa del carmen.
My question is in regards to obtaining the necessary building permits. As I am in the final stages of establishing my trust, I'm frightened by what I am reading in the Yucatan forum about getting building permits.
Here's my situation. I have a couple of acres on a beach north of Playa del Carmen. I want to build two villas there for my family. I have received the official plat and OK from the gov't, and this has been forwarded to the state urban developement office, the ministry of environment, the environmental protection agency, the institute for the risk and environmental impact, and the city urban developement office.
My question: Just how difficult is it to get a building permit from the local authorities in this area? Are people having a lot of trouble getting their building permits?
I hope someone "out there" will reply...before I put down the rest of my $$$$$'s! Thank you so very much for responding.
