Maximum file size for attached images

The size limitation on attached image files has been increased to 30 megabytes.
(This is not the personal icon file size which remains as jpg or gif, no larger than 140 pixels wide and no larger than 15 kilobits

Enjoy the increased quality potential.

This post is a little old .... but the easiest I think is Microsoft Photo Editor which is built into XP. Just right click on the photo and choose 'open with'. There is an Image -> Resize option on the top menu

OK, I using MyPictr for my Mac, I can get to the image size, only not the KB size. Any ideas?
