Semana Santa

We're going to be in Mazatlan during Semana Santa. It's the first time we have ever been at that time. What should we expect? I know it's a religious time, but is there still a lot of activity go ing on? I would love to see some of the activities they have.

You will encounter plenty of crowds on the beaches and in the streets, from one end of Mazatlán to the other. This is the biggest national vacation time at the beaches. I don't think much as far as organized activities other than going to church and the usual neighborhood processions.

I'll be coming down as well. You might want to bring some ear plugs. The 10th Annual Mazatlan Motorcycle Rally will be going on at the same time, and should be pretty well attended.

Of course I'm out of my mind. It's dark and scary in there!

I was down at Carnival last year and it was pretty noisy too. But they sure know how to have a good time.
