English Language Books In Mazatlan? You bet!

The Mazatlan Reading Library is gearing up for winter and the return of many friends from the North. We are still operating on the summer schedule, but expect to be fully staffed with volunteers by the second week in November. Our current hours are Monday and Wednesday from 9 to Noon, and Thursday and Friday from Noon to 3. Our normal winter hours are Monday through Friday from 9 to 3. We hope to be able to add some weekend hours this year if enough volunteers are available.
The Library keeps getting better! We have added LOTS of books this summer, and also tried to make the collection more user-friendly. So if you haven’t been in for a while, please come on in!
For any of you who are not familiar with the Library, we are located on Sixto Osuna, across from the Art Museum, a few doors down from Olas Altas. We have close to 7000 books, mostly in English, but a good collection of books in Spanish as well. There is something for everybody who likes to read- fiction, history, biography, science, travel, cookbooks and more. The Library is totally non-profit, relying mostly on membership dues to pay the rent and other operating costs. If you want to know more, or would be interested in volunteering a few hours a week, please stop in soon to see us. Dee
