Que Pasa?
This question has probably been asked 100 times, but is wireless p/c service available in the lake chapala area? Who is the recommended service company to get hooked up? what is monthly costs? thx much,

Yes wireless has been around for several years from east of San Antonio to Ajijic, and west to Joco. Unlike a Starbucks where you have to be within a few hundred feet of the access point, www.lagunanet.net.mx offers fixed WiFi. Where larger antennas often 24 dB are pointed at each other, and where the range between a relay tower and your site might be up to 5 or more miles

There may be a new kid on the block also offering wireless in town. But I am not sure. The other Broadband options are Prodigy's ADSL and two way satellite.
