What is a general comparison of paying taxes on a pension to Mexico rather than the U.S. I think you have a choice when you live there.

If you have income from any activity in the USA (including pensions), you must pay taxes to the US government, not Mexico.

If you have income from any activity in Mexico, you must pay taxes to Mexico. You will also owe US taxes on that Mexican income if it exceeds a certain amount. I don't remember what that figure is; it's pretty large.
