hi again
didya see this folks:
*** LAKE CHAPALA, MEXICO, WHERE RECENT WORLD EVENTS HAVE
RESULTED IN FALLING PRICES AND A BUYER'S MARKET
-- Jennifer Stevens, Maryland, United States
Today in the sunny, flower-laden towns that ring the shores
of Mexico's Lake Chapala, property prices have tumbled.
Right now, you'll pay at least 10% to 15% less than you
would have any other time in the last five years.
But you have to act now because this window of opportunity
will not remain open for long. The market in this part of
Mexico is linked closely to the economy in the United
States. (This lakeside area in the country's central
highlands, just 45 minutes from Guadalajara, is already
home to upwards of 6,000 expatriates from the States and
Canada, and that's where the lion's share of home buyers
comes from.) As our U.S. economy has slowed in recent
months, so has the property market here. Demand is down
right now, and prices are too.

regards to everyone
peter

What else is new? If we all listened to them, by now we would either be 1) dying from boredom in elegant and sophisticated Nicaragua, or 2) going into debt to own a 300 square foot fifth-floor walkup in Gay Paree.

Ed: You are right on about International Living. Perhaps a year or more ago, they were advising folks to invest in Argentina, with possible returns of 200%! Well, we all know what happened there.
I find that Escape Artist is a much better resource for ex-pat types, and very interesting reading...Randy

Dribble is what happens to old men, or just about anybody who has had three or more Margaritas.
