Stayed there earlier this year. One of the best B&Bs you can find anywhere. Run by a wonderful lady from Taxas. Purely a class act with excellent rooms and great breakfasts. About a 5-10 minute walk to the plaza.

You obviously have not stayed at Los Artistas B&B . It is much larger, more spacious and quiet, lush gardens, beauty everywhere

You obviously have not been to Tres Leones. It's a great!!! B&B. I'm not trying to take anything away from the other places you mentioned...yes I have been to them. However, Tres Leones is absolutely the nicest in town. There is nothing mediocre about this place. Also, being up on the mountain vs. in the village is not better nor is it worse. Both have advantages and disadvantages. I happened to enjoy the view.

and it is very rude to do so! Actually, the Tres
Leones is a mediocre B&B up on the mountain, quite a distance from the village. Better choices
would be the Plaza Suites, much cheaper, in the center of town, with just about everything within
walking distance, also TV, VCR etc, then there's
the beautiful La Nueva Posada at the lakefront, with a wonderful garden restaurant and within
walking distance of the restaurants and shops. And the nearby Swan Inn, with a great buffet breakfast by the pool, and nextdoor to the Lake
Chapala Society with all that it has to offer. Any of these places, including Laguna B&B, would
be so much better than being off at that motel,
the Tres whatever.

Obviously? Hey David, I live here, up on the mountain, with the lovely view, a few blocks from
Tres Leones. I walked over to look at it one day
and still say that visitors would be happier at
the places I mentioned, as well as at Los Artistas, as Linda mentioned, a wonderful B&B.

Just spent the month of July at Casa de Los 3 Leones. This was our fourth trip to Ajijic and our second stay with Marianne at Tres Leones. This was a truly wonderful experience with outstanding accommodations. We already have our reservation for January. Feel free to e-mail me if you have any questions.
