CALDWELLD POSTED IN ANOTHER STRING I want to use Outlook as my mail manager but in order to get my mexconnect mail to come into that program I need the POP3 and SMPT server names. I am not a geek so maybe I am missing something here. Can you help me with this?
What you should do on a case like this is do like I did and go to http://www.mexconnected.com/mxcmail.html I then worked my way down to POP Service and copied the following.
This account can also be used as a POP account, which means you can use Eudora or Outlook to download and work with your email on your computer.
The account name will be the same, and the password will be the same as you set for yourself when you first logged in.
You MUST log in to your Browser email and set up your new password and account settings BEFORE you set up your POP system.
The settings to use in your computer's email program are:
  • Login name: yourusername@mexconnect.com , (yes the whole thing, not just the username please.)
  • Password (same as you set it to be.).
  • To get your email, (POP server): mexconnect.com
  • To send mail (SMTP Server): your local ISP settings
  • Return address:>yourusername@mexconnect.com

Important: When you use your Browser to view your new Email messages, you will only see those that you have NOT DOWNLOADED to your computer using your POP or computer's email program
