If you are in Mazatlàn, your nearest Home Depot AND Home Mart are in Culiacan, a little over 2 hours to the north of us. People do the drive to "the big city" regularly. It is one of my favorite stores too and we have good fun
when we go there. (ka-ching!)

Are HOME Marts like HOME Depot or do they handle other types of goods?

Well after a FOUR day trip to get here, including a 14 hours day from Hermasillo, I think we will be waiting a bit to hit Home Depot.

Marlene, I thought about having 1 made and that is still an option. Where is your uncle located?

Do we have an Ace hardware in Maz? If so, where is it? The smaller places only sell the charcoal versions.

You took the scenic route? Hit the beach along the way?

I will get the address and send it to you and in the meantime I do not believe we have an Ace hardware, but we do have Casa de Campasino on Zaragosa street that sells lots of unique things.

Ask at Sam's if they have one in the back room. That can happen too. They may have needed floor space for something they deemed more important. (I have seen gas BBQ's there on and off.) Maybe some of the Mazatlan readers have seen them somewhere too and can perhaps let you know.
