Gun Ownership In Mexico

Does anyone know the current position with regard to private gun ownership by an FM3 holder living in Mexico? What weapons or carrying and storage methods are allowed?

I understand the law clearly with regard to calibers over .45 being reserved for the military and calibers between .357 and .45 falling in to a grey area but from whence does one actually acquire a gun in Mexico and be properly trained in its use?

I've been trying to find out the answers to these questions for years and virtually everybody has a different story, including the different govt. branches. Good luck.
