Toll Road to Colombia Bridge from US 35

Does anyone know if this link between US 35 to the Colombia Bridge has been reopened yet? (Actually, does anyone know why it was closed in the first place? Weird. It's pretty new.)

It was a private operation -- not a state road. They went broke. The banks that now own it don't want to be responsible for operating it. It's unlikely to reopen anytime soon, so I'm told.

Want to own a toll road in Texas?

Thanks Rolly. Nah, I don't want to own a toll road, some days I don't even want to own and operate my own driveway.

It wasn't open the weekend of July 4. It is closed with strong wire fencing. It was private and like Rolly said - they went broke. There is a great website that tells about the traffic and waiting time on the Laredo bridges. I don't have access to it at this moment but I think others might.

There was a site with all the border crossings listed showing the wait times but it seems to no longer be available - shame, because it was useful.
