I JUST VISITED THE PACIFIC PEARL WEBSITE, AND IT LOOKS LIKE A DISASTER. MOST OF THE SITE IS UNINTELLIGIBLE. ANYONE KNOW WHAT'S GOING THERE?

At least the public access (no subscription required) sections look like their normal ransom note-like self to me.

In previous years, Mike and Family (the owners) have taken the summer off. Right now, the tourist community is speaking Spanish. Mazatlan if filled to the brim with people from all over Mexico.

I went to the online site http://www.pacificpearl.com and read a good article by E.G. Brady. The rest of the site seems just like it's always been. Maybe you need to clear your cache.

I enjoyed EG Brady's article a lot too. It's called "We're from the Government and We're Here to Help You" http://www.pacificpearl.com/feature3.htm

It is written fairly tongue-in-cheek like most of his articles, but for some reason I find this one particularly amusing. He is a friend of ours and recently gave us a copy of his little book which contains similar extremely funny short stories of day to day life in a local and colorful colonia. Greg does a good job on sharing the humorous trials and tribulations of a foreigner being married to a Mexican. Some of them won't be published by the PP editor and can only be found compiliation of articles "Married in Mazatlan".
