Is Mexico Bob still the best way to go for car insurance?

I have used San Born's before but found them far to expensive, so I checked out some other alternatives that allowed me to go to Mexico and not have to carry my inssurance for the states to still be covered south of the border. But I have not driven to Mexico in a few years and was hopeing somone might have some new info!!
