Cable modem

Can't Post | Private Reply
I have a Motorola SB4200 Surfboard Cable Modem, which I just found out I owned when I called to cancel my Cablevision account. I know cable internet service hasn't arrived at Lake Chapala yet, but is there any sense at all of bringing this with me? I love cable internet and would switch to it as soon as I ever could. Or should I just leave it behind?

Thank you.
Doris

I went to the cable office last week and asked when we might be getting cable internet in the area. The manager winked at me remembering that he had said the same thing two years ago, and said that management was thinking about installing it again and that he would know more this fall.

We may get it out here, but don't hold your breath.

So, do you think I should bring it along, Pete? I don't remember how much I paid for it. Do you think the cost is significant?

Thanks.

I wish I knew what to tell you. I know that the cable company is looking at the possibility of providing internet to Chapala and Ajijic where they distribute some 58 channels, but I have no good feeling when they might do it.
