Just signed up for Telmex Infinitum

It's working well except that I get an error message about a third of the time saying that a page won't load. Anyone else have this problem?

Also, am I charged for a phone call from Telmex each time I boot up?

I have the Telmex/Prodigy dial-up, and I get those messages often. Damn annoying!

First you are not charged a phone call each time you boot up. Secondly, I'm told that the problem about not getting your web site will get worse before it gets better. It I understood the owner of a competing ISP correctly, the prodigy DNS (server) is timing out. Apparently Prodigy is signing up folks left and right but not increasing its infrastructure.

Does anyone else have any other feedback on this problem? I was about to try Prodigy Infinitum broadband as a backup, but if there are problems I think I will reconsider my position. I am presently using wireless and have not had any problem with it since last fall.

I have Prodigy Infinitum and get that page about not loading sometimes. If I try it again and hold the mouse a little firmer I can often get it the second time. It may be a fluke but it seems to work. I had dial up Prodigy before and I was charged each time I booted up or was disconnected and then reconnected. One month it was unreal how many connects and reconnects.
