An Observation

Has anyone noticed that the gringos power walk all over Ajijic and the Mexicans saunter yet Mexican clothes are too small for gringos? Is there a paradox here?

Bubba;

I think caloric intake rather than exercise may be a contributing factor.

I never understood power walking. If you're in a hurry, drive your car! this may account for the extra 20 lbs on my butt.

As Karl Marx was fond of saying, "You are what you eat". (No, I'm not a commie nor have I ever been). Second-generation Latinos and Japanese(and successors) that grow up in the USA are generally taller (and broader) than their parents/grandparents. It's the different diet. Come to think of it, our kids are bigger than we are too!....8o).
