Quintana Roo - A trip to Tulum

Can't Post | Private Reply
Hello, I am a newbee. I hope I am doing this correctly. Next month, my husband and I are taking a long overdue honeymoon to Quintana Roo-Tulum specifically. We are staying at Cabanas Copal. I have questions about currency exchange, safe travel, good restaurants, and how in the world will decide what to do with so many places to see and activities available. When will we lie on the beach??? We love the outdoors, I dive, my husband is a virgin snorkeler, who may have trouble seeing underwater without his glasses (he is a good sport though). I wonder if anyone could offer any info, and I wonder if I am doing this chat room stuff the right way. Diane

Welcome to the board!! It is not really a chat board where you get answers back right away all the time--more of a message board. First of all congratulations--first on getting married and secondly for finally getting to take a honeymoon!!

I have been to Tulum several times over the years but have never stayed at Cabañas Copal http://www.cabanascopal.com/ but it looks like a nice place.

You can do as much or as little as you like. The ruins are close--not only those at Tulum but ones of Cobá and some just south of Tulum. When it comes right down to it, there is not a whole lot to do but relax and snorkel and swim and lay on the beach--a rough life I know!! Exchange rate changes daily--it is currently about $10.80 pesos per US Dollar.

Feel free to ask any questions you might have.

tell your new hubby not to miss out on the total snorkeling package because he can't see without his glasses. my wife gave me an pair of glasses from a previous prescription and i removed the earpieces and bought her a mask that the glasses could be pushed into and held by the sides of the mask. now she sees all the colors and life of the reef no problem. hope this is helpfull.
