Landscape

I'm not familiar with Mazatlan at all. What is the land like? Flat ? Rolling? Mountainous? How far out would you have to go to find a place that you could keep horses? Are there pasture lands or would you always have to feed? What about water? Outside of Ajijic there were some places that water was really a problem.

Since I am a city girl these days, I was hoping that someone else would answer this. The landscape is quite varied here, and there are plenty of areas where cattle are kept not too far from the city. Water has been a BIG problem for the farmers and ranchers. We had a 3 year dry spell. Things are better for them now, but cattle were perishing by the time the rainy season came around this year.
