Has anyone stayed at Rancho San Cayetano recently and can tell about their experience? We were there 6 years ago, and it was a wonderfully relaxing place, with great food and a marvelous hostess, Sra. Lisette Span. But there's very little to do, except use it as a base for visiting the Monarch Butterfly Sanctuaries, or driving around the region.

You couldn't find much to do in and around Zitacuaro? Y'know, Angangueo does have a life beyond the butterflies and their season. It's got a lot of history as a mining town, long before the butterflies were discovered. Have you seen Casa Parker? How about El Bosque Dam and its sportfishing, Enando's waterfall, hiking in the mountains, and just plain ol' moseying around? Zitacuaro in and of itself bears some exploration, and each of the surrounding villages and burgs has an interesting story.
