Sprint PCS service in SMA?

Can't Post | Private Reply
There was a recent thread about using Sprint PCS service in Mexico. I checked with Sprint and they say that SMA has no roaming service. They also said that they are frequently wrong about Mexico and that it changes all the time ;)

Can anyone here advise if they have ever been able to use their Sprint PCS in SMA?

Gracias!

SprintPCS doesn't work here...best bet is to order cable TV/Internet combination from Telecable when you get here. Before moving down, order Vonage Voip and bring the adapter down with you. You will have a US based number to call and receive high quality calls for as little as $25 per month. For local cell phone calling, you can get a Telcel Amigo prepaid phone.

My American boyfriend's Sprint phone works just fine in SMA. The only difference is it switches to analog roaming, but it still works.

There was a procedure that we had to call Sprint in the U.S. and inform them that we wanted to dial international numbers. Otherwise, you are up a creek if you try to dial home. It took 5 business days.
