Shoe, did you read the following: About Beta Software Skype is currently Beta software which allows us to get valuable feedback from our users while we continue to enhance our product. As with all “beta” software Skype is provided “as-is" and Skype does not accept any responsibility if the software causes problems on your computer. We do require all beta users to accept our End User License Agreement prior to installing the software. Please also note that all features (and in particular some bells and whistles) may not have been developed yet. Please pay close attention to the latest release notes and known problems prior to reporting any problems with the software. As a Skype Beta user, you will be allowed to fully test our software free of charge until the beta period has ended. At that time, you will be notified how you can acquire a full version of the Skype software. A tip: If you are running Windows on your computer, you already have Netmeeting as part of the package and it is free. I've been using it for years to call my parents and sister in Germany for free. We also have PC cam's installed and have the added benefit of being able to see each other while we telephone. Try this website for more information http://www.microsoft.com/windows/netmeeting/.
