DSL in Rosarito

Well, my wife and I are getting ready to make the plunge and move to Rosarito in November. I am giving up all the things that made life fun and enjoyable, like a T-1 in my house, and VoIP running throughout my house.

Nevertheless, I am sure that someone is going to tell me that I can get a somewhat decent rate of speed via DSL or (gasp) cable. Please, please, please tell me that...

Yep..you can order Prodigy Infinitum DSL through the telephone company Telnor. Don't give up your Voip subscription. If its like Vonage or similar you will appreciate not having to pay international long distance calls to the USA.

Funny enough, part of my consulting in Los Angeles is providing low cost VoIP systems. I thought that there would be enough interest in Mexico for VoIP systems to various business and private parties. Of course, upon doing research, I have come to find out that VoIP is considered a gray market.

We are going to be close to the first exit into Rosarito going south down the toll road. I have heard multiple answers about the availability of DSL in that area. So is there per chance a map that defines the area?

It sounds like you will be living near the fairgrounds? A call to Telnor will let you know if there is service there. We had it north of your location in San Antonio del Mar. Don't know if the cable is available to your location.

sorry there is no DSL in Rosartio and the cable hookups are a thing of the future but hopefully the near future. Need more info, mail me.
