Quick trip to Morelia, Uruapan, Patzc, Zihuat, Ixtapa

Hi everyone,
I am trying to gather info from previous postings, but if anyone has the time to put this together for me, it would be very helpful. I am living in Guadalajara right now, I have about a week to travel and I am planning on renting a car. I would like to hit Morelia, Uruapan, Patzcuaro, Zihuantinejo, and Ixtapa. There will be two of us, and we are defintely on a budget. Please respond if you have any answers to the following questions:
1. How should we divide our time, which places have more to offer...I am looking to see the best each town has to offer, and hopefully visit an indigenous village.
2.Cheap, but nice places to stay
3.Info, on the drive to Zihuatinejo (approximate toll fares on that trip and also gdl to morelia)
4.Nightlife for 20 somethings, salsa dancing?
Thanks so much, and if you have any questions about gdl, just e-mail me.

Whoa, thatís going to be a very fast trip! While Iím sure you want to see everything and maximize the use of your rental car, I seriously urge you to trim the itinerary just a tad. Especially if you plan on the nightlife youíre talking about.
From Guadalajara, your routes could be either through the long, slow, very scenic route of Old 15, a two-lane blacktop which is going to take you through some terrific countryside, lots of towns and topes, and quick frequently the back end of a truck or bus. Or you could zip through the farm country on the cuota straight through to Morelia.
Now, if you take the former, you might want to jog down at Carapan junction to Uruapan instead of heading on to Morelia. From Uruapan, take the cuota over to the beach, and head north, hitting Patzcuaro and Morelia on your way home. Or you might consider reversing that route and taking the long way on your return.
In Morelia, bargain bests are the Hotel Casino, Casa Camelinas and the Hotel Mansion Acueducto. In Patzcuaro, for budget lodging, Iíd recommend Villa Patzcuaro since youíve got wheels. And in Uruapan, Mansion Cupatitzio.
