Is there a Methodist Church in Guanajuato? There was one ten years ago.

I don't think there is a Methodist Church in SMA. My parents are retired there and very active members of St. Paul's Episcopal Church. Rev. Michael Long is absolutely the greatest!!! It is the only totally English speaking church in SMA, I think. We are Methodist, too. We always attend St. Paul's and find it a lovely church service and Michael is wonderful. My mom says many tourists visit there each Sunday. Please go and enjoy and say hello to Rev. Long and my mom....Dogie (really is her name).

You are not getting many nibbles here, so I thought I would throw in a few words. I am not there now but the Methodist Church was there last year. As the people in Guanajuato are not a very jumpy, quick to change bunch in general, and as the church is quite old, I suspect it is still there.

Thanks for the replies-We lived at the Methodista church at Guanajuato several years ago during a change of ministers,and it certainly is an old building. We were going to forward the info to a descendant of Dr.Salman,who was the first medical missionary for the Methodists.Before there had to be a minister and a doctor,Dr. Salman and his wife are buried in Guanajuato,and there are plaques in the building,which has a very interesting history.
