general construction costs?

I'm new to this forum and am sure that some of my questions can be answered if i scroll back far enough but I'm gonna ask a few anyways.:)
I am fluent in spanish and know a little about construction from when i sold land in costa rica so know about getting to know the locals and all of that but....what can I expect in construction costs? Mainly in the todos Santos area of BCS? I'm leanoing toward a modust adobe and thatch sorta palapa, indoor outdoor casita place. Nothing fancy but want light and water and maybe do a few rooms in adobe with thatch roof and outdoor area. What are the costs per square ft. for buildin susually there....or any where in mexico? Can anyone point me towards a good source for this questiona nd all fo the other that will come along the process?
