Is it possible to obtain a Mexican hunting permit for the purpose of possessing a firearm in Mexico but not actually hunting? If so , how much would the permit cost and what exactly would I do to abtain one? Thankyou.

They really have no way of knowing if you go hunting or not. Whatever you want a gun for other than hunting, be REALLY careful. If you shoot anybody, your butt is in a sling but good.
And, again, you mark yourself for theft and violence.
Check license through consulates and border authorities, naturally.<p>

When last I inquired, I was told that I would have to join a Mexican Hunting Club and the hunting firearm must be stored at it's location.
