Medical Emergency, need info from IMSS in PV

Hi there everyone. I had a baby in the IMSS hospital in Puerto Vallarta on February 21, 2002. I am having another baby, but I'm back in the states. My doctor needs my records from the IMSS but cannot get them over the phone. I know how busy that hospital is and believe the only way to accomplish retrieval of my records is to go in person. I do not want to fly all the way there to do this myself and an unable to contact my extended family (in a different Mexican city) at this time to help me out. IMSS has a website, but my Spanish is so poor I could not understand it. Does anyone live in Puerta Vallarta that might be able to help me out here? My baby is due in October, and I need those records as soon as possible. Thanks so much for any input or help. Anita

Entered IMSS Web site, not to find any specific area for you to get needed info. So wrote them using the contact E-mail offered in their Coordinación General de Atención y Orientación al Derechohabiente section, to ask them what to do in order to obtain your record. Will let you know as soon as I get an answer.

Good luck getting a reply--I think it will be a miracle if you do. Anyway--there are several PV forums (do a web-search for them) and you might get a local who could help. You might also contact your PV doctor directly if you have his name and number.
