Arriving in Guadalajara by Bus

Can't Post | Private Reply
We are traveling to Ajijic for the first time,by bus from Manzanillo. What is the best way to proceed from the Guadalajara bus terminal to Ajijic? I understand that there are 2 bus terminals and I think that we will to arrive at the new terminal and then proceed to the old terminal to catch a local bus. Is this correct? Are there any vets out there in cyberspace available to help a newbie?

You're absolutely correct. When you de-bus at the new bus station, grab a cab or a city bus to la central vieja and take the Chapala Plus bus to Ajijic. It will drop you on the highway wherever you like. If you want to walk directly to the plaza, tell the bus driver 'Quisiera bajarme en el semáforo en la calle Colón.'
