Mexican Consulate in Kansas City

Can't Post |
We had notice some time back that the Mexican Consulate in Missouri was moving back to Kansas City from St. Louis. However, for months I've been trying unsuccessfully to get the new address. I finally received it today. So, in case anyone else needs it, here it is:
1600 Baltimore, Suite 100
Kansas City, Missouri C.P. 64108
Telephone number (816) 55 60 800-55 60 801- 5560-802-5560-803
(Apparently the phone number is in Mexican format)

You were kind and posted valuable information, but I do....

understand the frustration vented by the perceived as rude poster. His approach certainly did not help his message. Man, I am going out on a limb but I think he was annoyed by the fact that info has to be related in North American terms. The numbers you gave were for calling from Mex to US. Folks in US probably would not know that. It can be annoying when one lives in Mex and deals with foreigners who make no effort to adapt. They think they want to live in a foreign country but really do a lot of whining when things are not the same as in the "States". The world may seem to revolve around the USA but really as Maurice Sendak says "There Must Be More To Life". And you were very thoughtful to post the information. Hope that it will not deter you from sharing.

KU Volunteer Organization is going to Mexico

Can't Post |
I am part of a student run volunteer organization at the University of Kansas and i am leading a volunteer group to Chiapas, Mexico this summer. We will be working on an organic farm for about 3 weeks. Our group is looking for possible donations of funds or frequents flyer miles to purchase plane tickets for our group of 7 students. If anyone has any ideas we would really appreciate the help. Alternative Breaks is a service-learning volunteer group that is nationwide and focuses on education of issues and direct service. Our website is albreaks@ku.edu.
I look forward to hearing back!
Willow Robin
