Needing cheap rentals

: Hi, I posted a request about rents in Zacatecas a few days ago [thanks for replying, Andy, Don, Jarrosales, Richard]. What my wife and I are worried about, is well, we are going down there due to poor health and we don't have a lot of money... but we may have to be there some time. We are not married to the idea of Zacatecas, but thought it might be small enough to fall within our budget... we are canadians and the canadian dollar is not great right now-looking to spend about 15-2000 pesos max! Need cheap cost of living too. Any ideas of where to go to find this-don't need much, clean quiet with H2O and lights would be fine. Suggested towns, and/or resources in those towns would be greatly appreciated!

Here is a place in Baja. You won't find a place much cheaper than this and the landlords are good people.
